Yay, another guy picture! He looks so lonely I jsut want to hug him...or have tea (I'm probably stepping on so many cultural traditions right now it's not even funny). He seems as if he's just found a quiet time and is reflecting on who he is and what he does/represents.

The figure appears to be lost in the sense of being unable to act on any thoughts s/he may have. Such a state is really a terrible place to be for any human being, however to be a person who may come into powerful political or financial positions through the inheritance or benefits of certain members of one's family or friends, or even through one's own efforts -- only to discover that one is "stuck" in not being able to act or implement one's own insight or views -- even if one is absolutely and definitely right having researched well a solution or series of resolutions. Such a state where one can, or may do, -- nothing -- where one must remain as the work suggests "in silence" may be practical as a means of living, but it is an extremely sad state of living as such a person who accepts such silence can never enjoy the benefits of having attempted to live out and actively employ one's own vision or dreams sharing one's strength to benefit not only one's own self, but also one's community, region, etc.

I understand that there were many times in ancient China where such decisions or choices had to be made. It is my hope that this is less so today.

I have to agree with the previous poster that said this is dreamlike. It seems like he is moving through a land of dreams, and the colors work out very well for that idea here.
